Advanced Gi Training in the Inner West
Take your jiu-jitsu to the next level with advanced techniques, live sparring and competition-focused training. Advanced classes are built around depth: position before submission, systems over one-off moves, and plenty of hard, honest rounds.
The room is led by head coach Hayden Limebeer — a 1st-degree black belt with over 300 matches across gi and no-gi, whose coaching style is built on pressure-testing technique under live conditions, not just drilling.
Whether you're chasing competition results or just deeper jiu-jitsu, you'll find high-level training partners and a room that takes improvement seriously without taking itself too seriously.

Good questions, straight answers.
What level do I need to be for advanced classes?
If you have solid fundamentals — typically a few stripes into blue belt or equivalent experience — you'll be fine. Not sure? Come to a class and the coaches will place you.
Do you have a competition team?
Yes — competition-focused training is part of the advanced program, and our head coach has over 300 matches of his own to draw on. Competing is encouraged, never compulsory.
I'm visiting Sydney. Can I drop in?
Absolutely — travellers and visitors are welcome. Casual mat fee is $35 a class; just bring a clean gi.
Is there no-gi training too?
Yes — we run dedicated no-gi classes as well. See the No-Gi program page for details.
